Our Mission
Ruby Moon Roasters crafts exceptional coffee with passion and purpose. Through ethical sourcing, science-guided micro-batch roasting, and a commitment to our local community, we create fresh, flavorful coffee that invites people to slow down, connect, and savor every cup.
What We Stand For
Kindness, Generosity & Equality
We believe coffee has the power to bring people together. Guided by kindness, generosity, and inclusion, we create exceptional coffee for meaningful moments, everyday rituals, and good company. Every cup is an invitation to slow down, connect, and savor the present experience.

Integrity & Respect
We recognize that every cup is part of something larger: the farmers and land where coffee begins, the co-ops and partners who process and move it forward, and the people who share it at tables and in kitchens around the world. We approach each step with care, transparency, and respect for the people, places, and relationships behind every bean.

Giving Back
We believe good coffee should do good, too. We dedicate 1% of sales to supporting the communities where our coffee is sourced and the communities where we live, work, and gather.

Meet the Owners

Robert Kiarsis
Owner, Roaster
My passion for coffee led to a simple discovery: freshness makes all the difference. So I decided to roast it myself. After countless batches, I developed a method that brings out the best in every roast, delivering consistently delicious coffee. I started experimenting roasting in my backyard with an RK roaster on a grill. I produced some amazing coffee, but also some really bad coffee too! I was convinced that taking it to the next level by moving to a commercial roaster would really be the right choice. Raised in Colorado, Lived here for over 56 years and raised 2 boys in Arvada with my amazing wife Sherri.
We’re based in Arvada, Colorado, at an elevation of 5,550 feet. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, there’s almost always a beautiful day to fire up the roaster.

Sherri Kiarsis
Owner
Coffee has been in my life since I was 5 years old and my grandpa gave me a cup (much to my mother’s disagreement). Living in Seattle for two years helped develop my palate and doing “cuppings” with Robert has refined my palate to a new level where I can now define flavors like cocoa to floral hints and detect brightness, body and aftertastes with precision. I help out with the website and the books as well as packing and shipping orders.
